GAZA: (Christian Times) – Protests throughout the world have erupted against US President Donald Trump’s decision to shift the US embassy to Jerusalem. While the Muslim world protested against the decision, the Christian community in Palestine also seemed agitated as hundreds of them gathered in Jerusalem and burned down Donald Trump’s pictures. The protesters said that Jerusalem was the heart of Palestine and there could be no debate on its status.

It is pertinent to mention here that Jerusalem is a holy city for all the three major monolithic faiths of the world, including Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The ancient city has a history that is hold for all three faiths.

The decision to shift US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem has earned Donald Trump criticism from leaders across the world including Pope Francis.
