BERLIN: (Christian Times) – Majority of German Christians believe fasting to be a good practice according to a recent survey.
The survey conducted by a health insurance company revealed that 50% of the citizens support fasting on Carnival and Easter, considering it a meaningful activity.
30% of those surveyed said that they would never fast while 2% said that they hadn’t fasted in the past but would fast this year.
The interesting aspect of the survey was that the most enthusiastic supporters of fasting were aged between 18 and 29 while it is the same age group whose majority plans to quit alcohol, smoking and sugar in the coming days.
