KARACHI: Pakistan Sikh Council Patron-in-Chief Sardar Ramesh Sinhgh, while praising the enactment of Anand Karaj Bill in in Punjab, has demanded a similar Sikh Marriage Act Bill in Sindh as well.

Ramesh Singh demanded that all the provinces should enact the Sindh Marriage Acts just like Punjab had done. He praised the Punjab government, saying that the entire Sikh population in Punjab was few thousands only yet the government had made a law for the registration of their marriages, which was something that the Sikh community across the globe would appreciate.

Singh demanded that Pakistan People’s Party leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should also provide representation to the Sikh community and fulfill the marriage act demand because the Sikh community faced serious problems in the absence of such an act.
